HEB is launching the COVID-19 vaccine registration portal, but is still waiting for more doses to arrive

SAINT ANTHONY – HEB has launched a registration portal on its website for people who want to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but there are no spaces available because pharmacies are still waiting for more doses of vaccine.

Registration will be available when HEB receives more vaccine assignments.

HEB currently has no COVID-19 vaccines, but the Texas supermarket has requested to receive more.

“Once we have the vaccine, customers will be able to schedule at this site. At this time we have no new vaccine allocation,” spokeswoman Dya Campos told KSAT.

All previous vaccine allocations given to HEB were administered to phase 1A eligible clients, which includes health care workers, geriatric residence workers, and long-term care center residents, as well as phase 1B clients, who includes people 65 and older, and people According to the website, 18 years and older with at least one chronic illness.

HEB has not yet accepted appointments for eligible clients in Phase 1C, which includes essential front-line workers, and Phase 2, which includes the general public.
