Pokemon publishes the first video of the 25th anniversary, new logo

The Pokemon company has officially started celebrating its 25th anniversary with a 2-minute video. The new video serves as a focus for the various parts of the franchise, with almost every part of the big multimedia franchise appearing in some way. The video follows a series of rolling poke balls as they advance through a sequence similar to Rube Goldberg, through Pokémon cards, stuffed animals and Pokémon toys, and video game consoles and souvenirs. The video ends with the revelation that the Pokemon Company is partnering with Katy Perry on a new music program called P25 Music, which will release new music throughout the year. You can watch the full video above.

As part of the anniversary celebration, the Pokemon Company also released a new logo, showing Pikachu and the various Pokémon Starter from different games. Each set of Pokémon Starter participates in a kind of action unique to its region or introduced for the first time during its generation of Pokémon games. For example, Galar Starter Pokémon make curry, while Johto Pokémon surround a Pokémon, for example. You can check out the new logo below:

Finally, the Pokemon Company also sparked some of its next plans for the rest of the year. In addition to the P25 Music project, Pokemon Company also announced collaborations with Build-A-Bear Workshop, General Mills, Levi’s, McDonalds, Jazwares, Scholastic, Mattel, Funko, PowerA and Wand Company. The Pokemon trading card game will also launch special collections with 25th anniversary themes, along with large cards with Pikachu and other initial Pokémon. The Pokemon Company also launched a new website center that will serve as a central location for all parties related to the franchise’s 25th anniversary and will review all Pokémon regions, starting with the Galar region and ending with the Kanto region since the first Pokémon games.

The Pokemon Company also noted that more “birthday-related activations” are planned for the year for Pokémon anime, video games, mobile games, and more. Other big announcements from the franchise are planned, so stay tuned to ComicBook.com to stay up to date on all the great Pokémon news.
