In many ways, CES 2021 was unlike any other we’ve attended the Gear team before. Instead of running around Las Vegas stuffing everything and getting seriously dehydrated, we sat at home and watched the briefing after the Zoom briefing. But CES is still the festival of spending money. It’s designed to invoke your most basic desires, whether it’s for an exquisite gaming chair, an affordable laptop, or simply a machine for splashing individual portions of delicious fro-yo. These are our favorite things on display at CES and you can buy right now to scratch the itch.

Moft Snap-On Stand
Photography: Moft- Moft Snap-On Stand for $ 30: I want that. This complementary support allows you to keep your iPhone in portrait, horizontal or “floating” mode and has space to hold three cards. We’ve also included it in our guide to the best iPhone 12 accessories.
- Moto G Play for $ 170: Motorola updated its budget phone line, which we really liked. The upgrades are quite minor, but the price is still low. For a deeper look, check out our guide to the best budget phones.
- Usually (free): This small and useful app is the first product from a company working on a 100% private “next word prediction engine”. The distinctive honeycomb keyboard claims to reduce typographical errors by up to 80 percent.
- MaskFone for $ 50: If you wear a mask in public and make calls, you may need a mask (possibly over-engineered) with an N95 filter, built-in microphone, and headphones attached. Or, you know, maybe not. Check out our guide to our favorite masks if you want some more possibilities.
- V-Fashion M-200 ANC for $ 500: We didn’t get a chance to try these expensive headphones in person, but V-Moda has never disappointed us before. We hope that this new model from the advanced design company will be one of the best noise-canceling headphones of the year.
- JBL Reflect Mini NWC TWS headphones for $ 150: The latest JBL workout buds have a reflective strip for people who like to be outdoors at night or in the evening. They also eliminate noise and have an IPX7 water resistance. We didn’t get a chance to try them either, but we liked other JBL buds.
