According to prosecutors, Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old who has been accused of fatally shooting two protesters during a protest in Wisconsin, was drinking with members of far-right group Proud Boys.
The Washington Post reported that Rittenhouse was seen by state prosecutors at a bar where the 18-year-old wore a shirt that read “Free as f —” and had conversations with known members of the group.

In a motion this week, prosecutors asked a judge to ban Rittenhouse from drinking alcohol, which is legal for 18-year-olds in the state under parental supervision, and socialize with the group. It was unclear whether Rittenhouse’s parents or a legal guardian were present at the bar.
“The defendant’s continued association with members of a group that prides itself on violence and the use of its symbols increases the significant possibility of future harm,” the motion read, according to the newspaper.

Rittenhouse pleaded not guilty last year to murder and gun charges for the shootings, which came amid protests over police treatment of black Americans. Rittenhouse has insisted he acted in self-defense during the incident.
He had a $ 2 million bond.
The selection of the jury for its trial is scheduled to begin on March 29.
