It’s been ten years since it originally came out and six years since it mysteriously disappeared from digital stores, but today Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game is back on its return. It’s a little great based on the Scott Pilgrim comic book series (or if you haven’t read it, the movie starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and this new version of the game includes all the DLC to boot.
You can play Scott Pilgrim himself, as well as Ramona Flowers, Kim Pine, Stephen Stills, Knives Chau and Wallace Wells, paving the way for waves of enemies. It also has local and online multiplayer.
This new version of the game is a full edition, which means it includes all the DLC of the original. It also features horror and survival modes, as well as plenty of minigames like Dodgeball PvP and something Ubisoft calls “real battle defeats.”
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game first came out in 2010, but only four years later disappeared from digital stores without a real official explanation as to why (although there are suggestions, it had something to do with the expiration of licenses). Many fans wanted him back, including comic book author Bryan Lee O’Malley, who Ubisoft arrived last summer.
In the few years after the release of the film and the Scott Pilgrim game, I feel like many girls my age suddenly became very nervous and dyed their hair a lot of fun colors. Those girls were me. I’m talking about myself. But I only dyed my hair red, because I was working on selling trash that didn’t allow for bright colors. All this is to say: thinking about playing Ramona.
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game is available right now on the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store, for £ 12.50 / $ 15. It also comes out on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
