“My mother, Pilar Monroe Schneider, died in peace after spending a perfect Sunday family dinner surrounded by loved ones: her daughter April, her son-in-law Matt, her granddaughter Crystal and her great-grandchildren.” wrote Schneider.

Pilar Monroe was a World War II survivor in the Philippines and during the 1950s, after going through hunger and many injustices, she came to the United States in search of a better life.
At the age of 92, the actor’s mother lost his life.
Schneider is a well-known fan of Tigers, because his wife, the Mexican Patricia Azarcoya, is also a fan of the feline ensemble.
