Chicharito sends a moving message to Wayne Rooney on the day the Englishman announced his farewell to the tracks
Mexican striker Javier Hernandez dedicated an emotional message to his former teammate Wayne Rooney, who today announced his retirement as a professional player to become a full-time Derby County coach.
Through her official Instagram account, Chicharito, who shared a dressing room with Rooney at Manchester United between 2010 and 2014, shared a Story with two photos on the English band and words of gratitude for how I helped him during his period at Old Trafford.
“You are a great inspiration and a football legend. Thank you for everything you did for me and for my career, all the best in your new facet“, Wrote the Aztec.
Rooney and Hernandez have established a great friendship since the Mexican was bought by Manchester in 2010 and during Wayne’s stint in MLS with DC United, the Englishman showed his affection for the Mexican striker.
“Chicha is a fantastic player, a wonderful person and if I came to MLS of course I would want him on my team,” Rooney told ESPN in 2019.
Javier Hernandez did come to MLS but did so until early last year when he was signed by the LA Galaxy and the batter is currently gearing up for his second campaign in the United States.
