Authorities in Washington, DC, are asking the public for help in finding the suspect accused of smashing a police officer against a door during the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol last week.
The Metropolitan Police Department he tweeted new photos Friday night photos showing the suspect with hairy hair with glasses.
Metropolitan Police Officer Daniel Hodges can be seen in photos and videos on social media bleeding from his mouth as he was slammed into a Capitol door.
Hodges recalled that his attacker had hit him and “foamed in the mouth.”
“There’s a guy ripping off my mask, he was able to rip off the club and hit me,” the agent recalled on CNN. “It was practically foaming in the mouth, just like these people were real believers in the worst way.”
Another officer managed to rescue Hodges from the turbulent crowd. DC police said Hodges was recovering long after the incident.
On Thursday, FBI Director Christopher Wray said more than 200 suspects have been identified as investigators continue to investigate the attack that killed five people, including a Capitol police officer.
