Selena: The series. captivates fans before the premiere and final T2

Netflix announces that Selena: The series will have its second and final season, which will premiere in May, after the great success it had on the platform to be in the Top 10 for several weeks.

when Selena Quintanilla burst onto the Texan music scene in the 1980s, his dream was to make music that celebrated both his Latin roots and the education his family gave him, always between Mexican and American. She finally united these two worlds, leaving a timeless legacy that still resonates in generations of fans around the world.

We had the same hopes when in December we released Selena: The Series in Netflix. We wanted to pay tribute to the young woman with big dreams and an even bigger voice, and honor her incredible rise, from performing at local concerts with the family, to performing on some of the most important stages in the world.

We hope to continue this adventure, with the long-awaited finale of this two-part series that will be released worldwide on May 14.

Before the premiere of the second part, we are thrilled to announce that 25 million households worldwide sang “Like the Flower” with the first part of the series during the first four weeks after its premiere in December. The series ranked in the Top 10 in 23 countries – including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru – and spent 26 consecutive days in the Top 10 in Mexico. Half of the fans were from the United States, where he remained all his first week at No. 1 in the Top 10.

But the best is yet to come.

In addition to Selena receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award this year, we are excited to continue her experience in the world of Texan music across the screen. As she learns to handle her fame, fans will be able to see how Selena balances family, love and a thriving career.
