The site is a super vaccination clinic exclusively for those over 65 years of age.
David Hollingsworth, 84, waited an hour before receiving his covid-19.
“I’m looking forward to getting the second one because we’re done. I want to get on a plane, go back and visit my son and his kids in Connecticut,” Hollingsworth said.
While I was dating, there were many in line who didn’t.
James Kennedy, 87, arrived with only a newspaper article about the vaccine clinic.
“I’m diabetic. I just had my insulin injection. I’ve had two open heart surgeries. I don’t know about an appointment. No one ever said anything about an appointment,” Kennedy said.
He was not alone.

Many seniors in line cited the lack of technological knowledge or even a home computer for confusion, along with long phone hold times.
“He must have called 20 different phone numbers that we called directly from the California state health department and they gave us Riverside but no one answers the phone,” said Jay Adams of Murrieta.
Earlier this week, Riverside County made available to its senior population 5,600 vaccine appointments that were quickly completed.
“What we want to do is help people, we don’t want to push people away, but it’s so important that people follow protocol getting those appointments,” said John Welsh, a public spokesman for Riverside County.
In the end, county officials did not dismiss the seniors for lack of an appointment.
The relief of the gesture was evident.
Riverside County emphasizes the public because of the limited vaccines people need to make an appointment. They expect to vaccinate approximately 700 to 800 people on Lake Elsinore on Saturday.
