Invited woman expelling history at the inauguration of Biden

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) – Sarah Fuller, the first woman to score in a Power Five conference football game, says she has been invited to attend the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday.

“It’s an honor to be invited to participate in one of America’s greatest traditions,” Fuller said posted Sunday on social media.

“This historic inauguration is especially significant for American women and girls. The glass ceilings are breaking, ”she added, including the Twitter handles of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, who will become the first woman to hold the post, Biden, and her inaugural committee.

Attendance at the inauguration will be strictly reduced due to the pandemic and security measures of COVID-19 launched after a violent crowd supporting President Donald Trump invaded the United States Capitol on January 6 when Congress certified Biden’s victory.

Fuller helped Vanderbilt win the Southeastern Conference women’s soccer tournament as a goalkeeper. He helped the football team while dealing with COVID-19 problems.

She became the first woman to play in a Power Five game on November 28th with a punch to open the second half of a loss to Missouri on the only time he hit the field in that game. He had another chance on Dec. 12, when Vanderbilt had only 49 players awarded scholarships for his game against Tennessee.

Fuller, ranked second from three kickers available at the depth table, scored the extra point that tied the game at 7:50 of the first quarter. He converted his second point later with 7:22 at the end of the fourth quarter of the 42-17 defeat.
