Tom Brady may have gotten the best of Drew Brees in what will likely be the last game of Brees ’career, but the two quarterbacks shared an emotional moment after the game was over.
A viral video tweeted by reporter James Palmer shows Brady chatting with Brees on the Superdome field after the Buccaneers ’30-20 victory over the Saints. The two quarterbacks shared a hug while Brees’ family (wife Brittany and children Baylen, Bowen, Callen and Rylen) were close.
Then Baylen approached Brady with a football and the sixth Super Bowl champion threw a touchdown pass to Brees ’son in the corner of the end zone.
“We could have used it tonight!” Brady joked as Baylen took the pass.
The video went viral immediately and had over 7 million views as of Monday morning.
Brees, 42, is expected to retire this offseason after 20 years in the NFL. He currently holds several NFL records of all time, including most passing yards with 80,358. Brees already has an agreement to work at NBC Sports once he retires.
