Clinica Sierra Vista pauses COVID vaccines in Fresno with great caution

FRESNO, California (KFSN) – The Sierra Vista Clinic has announced that it is halting all COVID vaccines, including its location in Fresno, after up to ten people in California have had allergic reactions to a specific batch of the Modern vaccine.

California health officials have called for a temporary halt to the distribution of this specific lot, lot # 041L20A. The clinic said it had received 1,100 doses of this batch, but everyone who received a vaccine from the Sierra Clinic today did not receive any doses of the shipment in question.

In fact, the vaccines from the shipment in question were not shipped to the Fresno location in Elm. According to the Sierra Vista Clinic, vaccinations are simply being paused with great caution.

The clinic, which had vaccines scheduled for people 65 and older in Fresno and Kern counties starting Monday, Jan. 18, announced a few hours in the afternoon that it would not administer the doses until further notice.
