The complicated path of Alliance Lima with a view to the start of the campaign in League 2 began this Monday. The Victorians officially introduced Carlos Bustos, the technical director who will have the mission to return with the ‘intimates’ to the top division. Initially, the DT said he was happy to take on the challenge.
“It is a joy to be part of the institution and it is an important commitment, where we all know what the ultimate goal is. We have the confidence to take the Alliance to where it should be,” the Argentine said at a press conference .
“I consider League 2 a very difficult and competitive league. We look forward to a tough year, where we need to constantly adapt to the different situations we will live in, but with the confidence that we will have a great year,” he added.
After analyzing the different circumstances he will have to deal with in the second division, Carlos Bustos assured that the team will be ready to fight to return to the highest category of Peruvian football.
“We actually come for the glory to get the promotion. That’s why we are, it’s a great opportunity we have. We know where we got to, we know the demand and there’s no room. So you have to prepare and work hard for achieve that goal, ”he noted.
Finally, the Argentine coach also referred to the current situation of the Alliance Lima plant, where some players remain in uncertainty. Meanwhile, Bustos assured that he will have them all until some details are resolved and that he will add some reinforcements in the coming days.
“We have all the players who have a contract with the club. Foreigners can take four and there will be three or four more national additions to finish shaping the squad according to the map we currently have,” he said.
