“We’re Coming for You”: The new videos offer an inside look at the U.S. Capitol Revolt

Of the 1,000 people they can have entered the Capitol on January 6th, federal investigators focus on extremist groups that may have covered the building and have been trained for the assault. Now, they are posting new videos to locate extremists who could be targeting members of Congress.

A video published by The New Yorker magazine shows the rioters arriving at an empty Senate chamber. There, they spit out the pages of a folder on a desktop and enjoy their success.

“There has to be something here that we can use against this shit,” you can hear a riot police say.

The video also shows an interaction with a police officer, which began after protesters took pictures and lifted their feet.

“Is there any chance he could get you to leave the Senate wing?” he hears the policeman say.

“We will. I make sure no one respects the place,” one protester replied.

In a video of other areas of the Capitol building published by ProPublica, the mutineers sing a revolution and plow through their overcome opposition.

“Can I talk to Pelosi? Yes, we will come,” a protester said in a phone call. “Oh, Mike Pence? We’re coming for you too, f ** treacherous king.”

Less than 48 hours before the inauguration, the Nation’s Capitol is just around the corner. Last Monday there was a brief scare when the Capitol complex was closed due to a fire.

The level of security in Washington is unprecedented. Members of the National Guard march through the streets and rapidly increase in number. At the time the president-elect Joe Biden is a jury, there will be more than 25,000 in the city. But even the National Guard cannot avoid scrutiny: the FBI examines all members of the Guard.

The head of the National Guard Office told CBS News correspondent David Martin that he was “absolutely not” concerned about the reliability of his troops.

The FBI is also investigating funding for the Jan. 6 assault from domestic and foreign sources, including mysterious Bitcoin transfers of more than $ 500,000 from foreigners to people who supported the original rally.

Throughout the chaos of that day, someone stole a laptop from the office The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. Investigators say they are looking for Riley June Williams, who is now a fugitive.

Judicial documents show how investigators tracked the movements of the Pennsylvania woman to Pelosi’s office. They also say they received advice that “he intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia … who planned to sell it to Russia’s foreign intelligence service,” but they noted that the plan ” finished”.

Emily Hernandez, who allegedly stole Pelosi’s license plate, has also been charged by federal prosecutors. And Jon Schafer, who is allegedly affiliated with the far-right anti-government group The Oath Keepers, was also charged. The Columbus, Indiana resident faces six charges after allegedly spraying a Capitol police officer with bear spray.

Ninety people face federal charges and that number is expected to increase. Often, the FBI is catching up on suspects because of the lines of advice, and in some cases family members are facing it.
