According to the rules of the CONCACAF, this meeting will be played in a single match as in the previous phase of the quarterfinals.
It has also been established that in the event of a tie within 90 minutes, the match will be defined from the penalty spot and not in overtime as is usually the case.
The meringues of the Olympia are playing their third semifinal in this new format of the Liga CONCACAF, the first time they advanced to the final and were crowned champions, the second was eliminated by Saprissa.
The Manudo team came to these instances after having eliminated in a tight manner 2-1 to Real Estelí of Nicaragua, while Olimpia easily beat Motagua 2-0.
