Rather today Streets of Rage 4 developer Lizardcube shared a great demo for its concept of Garou: brand of wolves sequel. I want it to be really that bad.

Garou: brand of wolves was first released in arcades in 1999 as SNK’s final game Fatal Fury franchise before King of Fighters he completely absorbed it. An official sequel was planned at one point, but it never came to fruition. In fact, the “scalp” seen in Lizardcube’s reimagining is drawn from ancient conceptual art published by SNK in 2016.

There are no indications that anyone is actually working Garou: mark of the wolves 2, But King of Fighters XIV director Yasuyuku Oda did offer one joke answer on Lizardcube’s tweet, so I guess anything is possible. All I know is that a Garou revival inspired by the aesthetics of Streets of Rage 4 it would be incredibly great.
