2 Spirit Airlines officers injured after passengers attacked them for the size of handbags

DETROIT, Michigan (WABC) – Two people were injured when a fight broke out at a Detroit airport.

Police say tensions rose when a Spirit Airlines flight boarded Sunday night.

The airline says three passengers attacked its agents after a luggage dispute.

Employees argued with the three suspects over the size of the handbags.

Two Spirit Airlines agents were injured.

Two people have been arrested and another person has been cited.
