Selena Gómez shares the backstage of the video for the new song in Spanish De Una Vez

Selena Gomez confessed during a behind-the-scenes video released Tuesday that she believes she sounds better as a singer in Spanish than in English.

The 28-year-old singer made the revelation in a complementary video of her new song in Spanish De Una Vez that she released last week.

The video opened with an exterior photo of a one-story suburban home and then showed Selena inside how her hair and makeup were done.

Selena and a friend told a story about a mutual friend who wore a clown costume to pull off a joke.

He laughed as he combed his hair and shared how he purposely uses an impertinent face with his friend.

“This is my first Spanish song I’ve done since I think I was 18, 19,” Selena said after she was shown singing some lines from De Una Vez.

Selena took the direction of the opening scene and the raw images touched showing her in a pink flower print dress reclining on a bed with satin sheets and pillows.

“I’ve basically spent hours trying to perfect the language and I also know part of it to grow,” Selena said as she wore white Beats headphones.

‘It’s been a lot of fun getting into it. It’s just a completely different world. And personally I think guys, I don’t know if anyone really cares, but I think I sound better in Spanish than in English. Which is weird, right? This is just mine, ”he added.

Selena sitting on a yellow sofa showed her funny side as she explained that she only used some of her “magic powers” to turn off all the lights in the room.

The raw footage from the music video showed her dancing in her arms in a circle as the lights went out in sync.

“He used to be a wizard on this Disney show, so,” Selena joked, referring to her starring role in the Disney Channel series Wizards Of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012.

D’Una Vegada is Selena’s first Spanish-language song since Un Any Sense Pluja in 2010.
