The developers of Horizon Zero Dawn will focus on the sequel after a new PC patch

Horizon Zero Dawn was a pretty damn buggy when it came out on PC last year. It was a shame to note that it was the first PlayStation exclusive bug to make the leap to the PC. But Guerrilla Games has been continuously updating it to fix all sorts of issues, and yesterday the game received its 1.10 patch, which added a couple of bug fixes and performance improvements.

In particular, this patch marks the beginning of Guerrilla’s slowdown in its HZD updates, so they may change the focus to work on the game’s sequel, Horizon Forbidden West.

“As our team continues to develop our next Horizon Forbidden West title, we move on to less frequent updates for Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC after this patch. Please note that we will continue to monitor the spaces in our community. as always. “they said.

“We want to thank you all for your continued support and for submitting your bug reports over the past few months. The information we received through your reports was invaluable in researching and helping to resolve some of the issues. more complicated than we solved in Patch 1.10 “.

Interestingly, these quotes are no longer on the Guerrilla website. They were there when the post was published yesterday, but it looks like it has now been removed. It’s a wonder why: there doesn’t seem to be any particularly sensitive information. It seems a pretty natural assumption that Horizon’s team would already be working harder on the sequel to the game, and I can think of no reason why they would be removed from their “thanks” to the community.

I have contacted Guerrilla Games to ask why they have removed these bits, but I have not yet received a response.

Horizon Forbidden West was announced in June last year and is expected to come out sometime this year. It is unclear at this time whether it will be released on PC; for now, it looks like it will be a PlayStation bastard.

Despite his numerous mistakes (such as the hilarious one that made the main character Aloy accidentally a little boy forever), Nate still thought the game was brilliant in his Horizon Zero Dawn review, saying, “It’s one of the most engaging and beautiful open world adventures ever made “.
