Jennifer Lopez sang at Joe Biden’s inauguration, and her fiancé – former MLB star Alex Rodriguez – spent a lot of time accompanying her.
Rodriguez documented his day on Instagram, which began with a video of his seat at the Capitol and a selfie with a suit that matched his old team uniform.
“Stripes in life,” the former Yankee wrote.
He then posted a photo of himself and J-Lo on the steps of the Capitol, titled “2021,” with hearts and an American-flagged emoji.
A-Rod was captured several times on camera during the opening and social media had fun pointing out his curiosity to see him on stage on such a momentous occasion.
“At least once a year, I activate a national event, and somehow a bat will be there for some reason, fulfilling its destiny as the forrest gump of baseball.” wrote Joon Lee of ESPN.
Chris McNeil, a Cleveland Browns personality, photographed A-Rod in the portrait of the founding fathers who signed the Declaration of Independence.
