Supermodel Christy Turlington shared a rare getaway with her on Wednesday with her husband, Independent Spirit Award winner Ed Burns.
The 52-year-old founder, Every Mother Counts, who has 1.2 million social media followers, captioned her inaugural Day moment with a quote from the late Martin Luther King Jr.

Christy’s message received brilliant comments from her eighties supermodel mates, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista, as well as from Bruce Springsteen’s wife, Patti Scialfa.
It was Evangelista, 55, who famously told Vogue in 1990, “We have that expression, Christy and I. We don’t wake up for less than $ 10,000 a day.”
The 17-year-old couple starred in Calvin Klein’s last fall campaign for Eternity, a fragrance that Turlington faced when it was originally released in 1988.
It was really nice and honestly now that the world is changing a lot, looking back at filming, it was one of the last getaways we had. So I think I’ll keep it even closer for that, ”the NoCal native told Marie Claire UK last month.

“It’s My Favorite”: The 17-year-old married couple starred in last fall’s campaign for Calvin Klein’s Eternity, a fragrance that Turlington faced when it was originally released in 1988.
The NoCal native told Marie Claire UK last month: “It was very enjoyable and honestly now that the world is changing a lot, looking back at filming, it was one of the last getaways we had. So I think I will keep it even closer for that ”(in the image of 2014)
“I’m very focused on the present and because it’s us now, it seems a lot more meaningful and special to me. There’s so much work from previous years, but who we are now [as a couple] it’s where I want to be and that’s why it’s my favorite.
Christy will celebrate Ed’s upcoming 53rd birthday on Jan. 29 with his 17-year-old daughter Grace and 14-year-old son Finn.
The genetically blessed duo was originally known at a Hamptons party in 2000.
