Like his fellow millennials (who may or may not be technically over 100 years old due to the death caused by the calamity), Breath of the WildThe link dreams of owning a house. Unlike the rest of us, you can actually achieve that goal. There is only one problem: the house is bad. Between initial purchase and upgrades, it costs 4,400 rupees and ends up being little more than a glorified storage unit. Thank God for a new mod that advances the site a bit.

Modder Waikuteru’s “Home Improvements” mod it does exactly what it says on the can, adding a stable, a fishing pond, a kitchen corner, a better bed that will give you extra hearts when you wake up, and your own cuckoo friend from whom you can extract eggs. There are also fun new decorations, including conceptual art on the walls, and you can access them at any time with a custom warp point (which, with a clever touch, automatically banishes bad weather every time you use).

“This modification re-imagines the ownership of a house BotW to make it a worthwhile purchase (something you’ll want to use regularly) all the time, while maintaining the original feel and balance of the game. ” Waikuteru wrote in a video description on YouTube.

It’s a solid start: functionality that, frankly, should have been in the game from the start. That said, I will not rest until I am able to tame all of Hyrule’s dogs, at which point they will settle in the fields surrounding my home and live in a state of perpetual happiness. If modders can’t do it, consider it a lawsuit Breath of the Wild 2. If you don’t, at least let me pet them.
