Do you believe in miracles?
Some great news for fans of SNK’s Neo Geo Pocket color selection, as one of the funniest hand wrestlers of all time, SNK vs. Capcom: Millennium Party, has been rated for Nintendo Switch by The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea.
Originally released in the winter of 1999, Millennium Party was SNK’s ambitious effort to reduce stock action such as bumper size Capcom Vs. SNK for its humble handheld device, the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Surprisingly, the experiment was a success, which resulted in a beautiful comb-sized fighter who sees the legends of the two brands combine to make a round of fucking.
Street Fighter’s Ryu, Ken, Sakura and Chun-Li; King of Fighters’ Iori, Terry Bogard and Mai; Samurai Shodown Nakoruru and Haohmaru; even Darkstalkers Morrigan, Felicia and BB Hood are featured in the film, with Millennium Party offering SNK’s traditional team options, as well as boss characters, unlockable fighters, and secret stages. As if all this weren’t enough, there are also some fun score-attack mini-games, based on titles like Metal Slug i Ghouls n ‘Ghosts.
While it’s obviously not as deep as your average console fighter, SNK vs. Capcom: Millennium Match is, in many ways, one of the best versions of SNK – a title that really takes full advantage of the bare minimum, going further to squeeze every drop of power available on its home platform. Concern had been raised that licenses could prevent this title from being reissued, and as such, it is wonderful news that this lost fighter will be given a chance to shine once again.
