A few days ago it was confirmed that the actor Saved by the bell, Dustin Diamond, was diagnosed with terminal cancer after being hospitalized in an emergency. Now, the representative of Diamond reported that Screech’s interpreter began chemotherapy treatment.
Diamond, known for his role as Screech in the original 90’s comedy series, Was hospitalized earlier this month in Florida. After his studies, Dustin was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
“Dustin has completed his first round of chemo and is scheduling the second. Physiotherapy will also begin soon,” actor spokesman Roger Paul said in a statement.
“Dustin is eager to spend more time with his girlfriend, play his bass, play video games and make videos for his fans on social media,” he added.
Saved by the bell was transmitted from 1989 to 1993 and gave way to derivative series The College Years and The New Class, In which Diamond appeared.
Last year a sequel premiered with many of the actors from the original cast, Such as Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, but not Diamond.
Diamond has faced several arrears of tax claims and foreclosure proceedings for non-payment.
He has appeared on reality shows, made a pornographic video and produced a revealing documentary and Lifetime TV titled The story not saved by Bell’s story. In 2015 he was sentenced to four months in prison for his role in a stabbing at a bar in Wisconsin.
