Disney + needs to retrieve some agents from the SHIELD characters

SHIELD agents it may have ended in 2020, but that won’t stop this superfan from being able to write about it until 2021 and beyond. As long as the higher powers here on ComicBook.com allow me to, I will advertise SHIELD agents and his characters until I die (or stop working here, whichever comes first). Now that WandaVision has premiered at Disney +, has begun an exciting new era in the Marvel movie universe. We are about to get a long-awaited series of series, such as The hawk and the winter soldier i Loki with more shows like Hawkeye currently in production. While SHIELD agents had the perfect shipping, I firmly believe that some of the show’s characters deserve to reappear at Disney +.

Before we begin, it should be noted that this is not the canon debate. Although I stick to that SHIELD agents it’s an MCU canon and will base some of my arguments around this fact, it’s not really it matters. We’re supposed to get Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the next one Spiderman. Spider-Man film and Jarvis by James D’Arcy Agent Carter already appeared in Avengers: Endgame. Why not SHIELD agents do people have the same privilege? Especially considering it’s the only Marvel show that had a full and completed career.

It should also be mentioned that the last episode of WandaVision featured an ad for a soap called “Hydra Soak,” which seemed like a direct reference Agents of SHIELDFrame arch. For now, I refuse to believe that this was just a coincidence. Yes WandaVision it refers to Agents of SHIELD, I grow my hope that Disney + can incorporate some of the characters.

Please note that I do not include Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Leopold Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) in this list. As much as I love them and want to see more of Henstridge and De Caestecker on my TV screen, I think their characters deserve their happy retired ending. Forgive me, my fellow FitzSimmons lovers. However, here are a few more SHIELD agents the characters I want to see appear in Disney + …

Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet)

Of all SHIELD agents characters, recover Daisy Johnson AKA Quake makes the most sense. This stunning Inhuman is not only an important part of the comics, but we last saw her directing a team into space (speaking of which, we also get Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and Kora (Dianne Doan) back!).

While SHIELD agents the SWORD title could not be used (we still laugh at “Astro Ambassadors”), it is very clear that Daisy, her husband and her sister are out of space doing SWORDly tasks. We already know that SWORD will come into play WandaVision, and we also know that a Secret Invasion the series arrives at Disney + with Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Ben Mendelsohn (Talos). Nick Fury is in space. Daisy is in space. Let them meet!

Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons)

A la SHIELD agents final, we learn that Mack has kept his job as director of SHIELD. We know SHIELD is playing again Hawkeye, and it would be pretty cool if Mack managed to officially keep his MCU title. We still don’t know what Nick Fury is doing in space, but we get the feeling that his current focus is on SWORD, especially since Talos and Soren (Sharon Blynn) are still pretending to be Fury and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in the Earth. Also, Mack has his own helicarrier. Let the man use it!

Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen)

Speaking of SHIELD i Hawkeye, Wen already made it clear that he would love to appear in the Disney + series. Agent Melinda May is one of the worst people to ever wear the SHIELD logo and we last saw her teaching at Coulson Academy. It would be amazing to see more of the Academy in general (“Seeds” is an underrated episode of season 1 that shows a closer look at the agents in training. I’ve always wanted to see more young talent). Wen may be busy playing Fennec Shand in the Star Wars world, but MINIMUM could save us a cameo. There’s no way May and Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) haven’t crossed paths before. I could use it!

Elena “Jo-Jo” Rodriguez (Natalia Córdova-Buckley)

Speaking of very talented inhumans who are also comic book characters, we last saw that Yo-Yo was still working for SHIELD in the field with Agent Piper (Briana Venskus) and Agent LMD Davis (Maximilian Osinski) . Like Mack and May, Hawkeye makes more sense with the SHIELD connection, though Secret invasion it could also be a great place to show off Elena’s special skills. Heck, let her in Ella-Hulk or Mrs. Marvel… There’s no reason why Yo-Yo couldn’t participate in the fight on any Disney + show.

Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse (Adrianne Palicki)

We all know that Palicki and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) got a raw deal when they left SHIELD agents for its own spin-off, The most desired Marvel. The show never aired, and Palicki was never seen again as Bobbi (however, we got one last delicious episode with Blood as Hunter). Mockingbird is another staple of Marvel Comics, and fans have made it clear that they want to see more of it in the Marvel movie universe. I’ve already said it and I’ll say it again … Secret invasion it’s right there!

Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward)

I am 100% willing to admit that this choice is totally biased because of my brazen love for Deke Shaw. Does this request make sense? Arguable We last saw Deke in the eighties in an alternative reality as much a rock god as the head of SHIELD (honestly, it’s a whole show I’d watch all by myself). Deke had a perfect ending, but I’m greedy and I want more.

It’s pretty obvious that the MCU is about to get serious about the multiverse with movies like Spider-Man 3 i Strange doctor in the multiverse of madness. Not to mention the fact that Loki follows the version of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) who escaped Avengers: Endgame, creating another new reality. It would give anything to see Loki swinging with a Deke Squad concert through his interdimensional journeys.

Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg)

This is a much more realistic request, as I don’t think anyone is prepared to see how Gregg’s days in the Marvel Cinematic Universe end. It has existed since 2008 Iron Man, and it’s time for the Avengers to find out he was still alive (well, a little). However, if you are firm in continuing with Coulson dead as a canon (rude!), I will speak again Loki.

With the God of Mischief approaching his final round of deception, it would make a lot of sense to see him face to face with the man he murdered. Loki has done many unforgivable things over the years, but killing Coulson was definitely number one.

Do you hope to see any? SHIELD agents characters from a Disney + series? Which is? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.

All seven seasons of SHIELD agents they are currently broadcast on Netflix.
