Puerto Rican Angel Nigaglioni is named to a high position in the federal Treasury

Washington dc – Puerto Rican Angel Nigaglioni has been appointed Deputy Undersecretary for Assignments and Management of the Treasury Department under the leadership of Secretary Janet Yellen, who will be confirmed today in his place by the United States Senate.

Nigaglioni was Legislative director and legal adviser of the ex-congressman Mountain Jose, besides having functions in the Committee of Allocations of the low House of Representatives.

Until last December, Serrano was the chairman of the Allocations Subcommittee on Trade, Justice and Science.

In the Treasury he is assigned to the Office of Legislative Affairs.

Nigaglioni completed his law studies at Indiana University and his baccalaureate at George Washington University.

The Senate is scheduled to confirm Yellen as the next Secretary of the Treasury this afternoon.

Yellen, 74, would be the first woman to head the Federal Treasury. The designated secretary was president of the 2014-2018 Federal Reserve.
