In a press release of January 15 the Japanese company announced the dissolution of its three production divisions, along with staff movements for employees who were previously in charge of production departments. What is happening in this announcement, according to an official statement addressed to Kotaku of Konami, is just a consolidation of departments.
The statement says: “The announcement made refers to an internal restructuring, with the consolidation of production divisions. We have not closed our video game division.”
