The Paraguayan joins the absences of Gignac, who is still recovering, and the ‘Dent’ López, isolated by COVID-19
The UANL Tigers announced that striker Carlos González is injured of the right twin, so they will arrive diminished in next Thursday’s match against Necaxa, within the fourth day of the Guard1anes 2021 Tournament.
“Carlos González has an injury to the union of the tendon muscle of his right twin. He will be studied, so his prognosis is reserved for evolution,” the club said in a statement.
Faced with this, the cats will have another loss for this Thursday’s match against Necaxa, after González joins the list of players who are in the process of recovery.
The Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac is currently in rehabilitation for a hip problem while Nicolás ‘Dent’ López is isolated after having tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago.
The strikers that coach Ricardo Ferretti has at the moment are the Colombians Julià Quiñones and Luis Quiñones, to face the confrontation against the Rayos de la Necaxa, to take place at the University Stadium.
The cats will have this commitment and on January 29 they will travel to Qatar to play in the Club World Cup, in which they will have their first match against the Ulsan Hyundai on February 4.
