The man who tried to flee Guayama Command last night while on probation will now face charges of attempted murder, robbery, escape and violation of the Weapons Act.
The Justice Department reported tonight that a total of 16 charges were filed against Anthony Colom Maldonado.
According to the investigation, Colom Maldonado, 33, took the weapon of regulation from a police officer, at a time when he was being fired for other charges committed between January 23 and 24. He then made several detonations when leaving the Command, then was arrested with the help of a citizen.
Judge Brenda Sala Rivera of the Guayama Court determined probable cause in all the charges filed and imposed a global bail of $ 1,250,000, which she did not lend, so she was jailed.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for February 2, 2021.
