The subject stole a woman’s card and Dui and then allegedly bought it electronically.

A subject was arrested in the last hours by the National Civil Police accused of the crime of theft by stealing credit cards and the Dui of a co-worker, allegedly for online shopping.

The subject, identified as Sergio de Jesús Peña, was arrested by police in the Freedom Department, although the exact location of the arrest is not specified.

Authorities point out to Penya that he stole a woman’s credit card, his co-worker, and his identity document, allegedly after making electronic purchases in different commercial establishments.

It is unknown if the purchases were made in the United States or on El Salvador’s websites, this information has not been specified by the authorities.

According to police, the subject will be referred to the judicial authorities to be charged with the crime of theft by computer means.
