Disraeli lawyer Omar Pastor, a former chamber magistrate and close to left-wing sectors, died this Monday at El Salvador Hospital from complications of COVID-19, sources from the lawyers’ union confirmed.

Pastor was in recent years second magistrate of the First Criminal Chamber.

He was previously a litigant and director of the Institute of Legal Studies (IEJES), an entity that was always linked to the militant left and to which also belonged the current vice president Felix Ulloa.

The lawyer’s family confirmed on Sunday that he was being treated at El Salvador Hospital and they had hopes that he would overcome this difficult time, but yesterday the news of the death spread.
