Puerto Rican Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia said he would make sure Puerto Rico is part of the millions of doses of vaccine President Joe Biden has promised today he would send to the United States and territories.
In the next three weeks, Biden said a minimum of 10 million vaccines a week would be sent to states and territories, the amount each one receives will depend on the population.
“I’m going to make sure we get the vaccines that we deserve as American citizens that we are,” Pierluisi wrote.
Biden said he would buy an additional 100 million doses of each of the two coronavirus-approved vaccines to be delivered by mid-year, and the government plans to be able to deliver enough doses to states to vaccinate 300. millions of people.
