Sorry folks, another game has been delayed. This time it is so The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – A story-based action-adventure game based on JRR Tolkien’s epic fantasy novels.
The game was unveiled for Switch and several other platforms in August last year and, instead of arriving in 2021, has now been rolled back to 2022. NACON has joined Daedalic Entertainment as co-publisher and will assume responsibility for distributing the game.
The two companies are also joining forces to ensure that the next version lives up to the expectations of fans of The Lord of the Rings and also to take full advantage of the power of next-generation consoles.
Both sides promise to “faithfully represent” this classic universe, thanks to collaboration with Middle-earth companies. In the game, you will take control of Gollum. Here’s what to expect:
“Take a dangerous journey like Gollum, chasing the only thing that is precious to him. Climb, jump and pass in front of dangers or to advantageous places. Gollum is skillful and cunning, but also torn by his scant personality. So you decide if the darker side of Gollum takes over or if there is a spark of reason left in what was Sméagol “.
