Nicole Kidman will star and perform an adaptation of the Norwegian family drama Hope

Nicole Kidman will star in an adaptation of the Norwegian family drama Hope.

The 53-year-old Australian actress will also executive produce the project, which will turn director Maria Sødahl’s hopeful Oscar into a series.

The Kidman’s Blossom Films banner will work with Amazon Studios, which has a first deal with the studio.

The series is being described as an emotionally complicated drama about one mixed family.

The film focused on the drama surrounding the 12 family days they spend Christmas together, during which a marriage unfolds.

The original Hope starred Andrea Bræin Hovig and Stellan Skarsgård. It was a critical success, winning the European Cinemas Label award for best film in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival.

She was also nominated for Best Director and Best Actress at the 2020 European Academy Awards.

Alice Bell will adapt the program and act as executive producer.

He is currently working with Amazon and Blossom writing and EPing the upcoming series The Expatriates, which is in pre-production. It is fixed will be directed by Lulu Wang and star Kidman.

News of the project comes at a very busy time for Kidman, who has just broken the silence by accepting the long-awaited role of Lucille Ball.

“I love Lucille, having looked at it now and delved into it,” Nicole told Variety, adding that part of her preparation has been to screen the old episodes of I Love Lucy.

It is said that the turbulent week, which runs from the table read to the recording in front of a studio audience, also includes a professional landmine for the couple.
