Pastor Alberto Solórzano is ordained bishop of the CCI Global Network

Renowned Honduran pastor Alberto Solórzano was ordained last night as bishop of the Global Network of the International Christian Center (CCI).

In evangelical Christianity a bishop is a watchman, inspector, supervisor, or superintendent; he is a faithful who receives the leadership of supervising a congregation, the pastors or priests, as the case may be, of a given territory. In the Christian nomenclature Bishop it is the highest degree of the priesthood.

The bishops need to be ordained by a higher authority and last night the Rev. René Peñalba, bishop of the Red Global CCI and founding president of the CCI, on the last day of the CCI Global Summit, in a solemn ceremony, anointed as such Pastor Alberto Solórzano, who will assist him in his duties at the head of the CCI Global Network .

In his new duties in the CCI organization, Solórzano will act as auxiliary bishop of the reverend Peñalba in the areas of coverage, government, representation and executive of the CCI Global Network and will coordinate the different presbyteries scattered in more than 30 countries on four continents.

The CCI Global Network, founded by Bishop René Peñalba, Brings together more than seven hundred churches and missionary actions around the world, which has necessitated the creation of an organizational structure consisting of the episcopate, an executive leadership, international presbytery and national and regional presbyteries.

Part of the work required for the coordination of this broad structure will be undertaken by the now Bishop Alberto Solórzano, in order to more efficiently face the challenges that lie ahead for the next decade, when all churches have of redefining their roles to continue their pastoral work in a post-pandemic society.

The ICC’s strategy for the next decade was presented to all churches on the Global Network at the summit called “Where We Are Going” which was held on January 25, 26 and 27.

The summit, which was held in a combination of virtual and face-to-face conferences since Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, It was transmitted by closed circuit to all the churches of the Network that could thus participate in this meeting that is celebrated every two years.
