A forgotten PS4 game has been canceled three years after its announcement, leaving some PlayStation fans disappointed by the process. For PlayStation, 2021 has to do with the PS5, but right now there are much more active PS4 gamers than the PS5, and as a result, the PS4 will continue to get games this year, next year and beyond. In fact, many of Sony’s next big exclusives, such as Horizon Forbidden West – will be cross-generation versions.
The PS4 still has games and will continue to get a lot of great games for at least a couple more years. One of the games you won’t get is One Room Project, which was announced until 2017 as a tribute Roomania # 203, a cult classic that was released in 2000 via the Sega Dreamcast.
After years of silence that made many forget about the game, its producer, Masaru Oochi, has officially confirmed the concerns of many. In other words, the game is over.
According to Oochi, the game quickly ran into development issues that really put an end to the project. A year later, Oochi left FuRyu in an attempt to resume game development. After launching the project to numerous companies, the development of the game was finally resumed, but as a new project. Over the next 18 months, development continued, but during this period Oochi’s savings were exhausted and then the pandemic turned out to be more or less the key to the coffin, although there were other contributors to the cancellation of the game, including those of Oochi. dissolution of the belief that the game would resonate with a modern audience.
One Room Project was in development for PS4 and, as far as we know, only for PS4. That said, not only has it been canceled, but there seems to be no way to reactivate the project.
As always, we will be sure to update the story if more additional and prominent details are provided. In the meantime, for more coverage on all things PlayStation, including the latest PS4-related news, click here or check out the relevant links below:
