“I’m bulletproof now!” Sir Tom Jones, 80, reveals he has had both coronavirus vaccines, but regrets not being able to perform live yet
Sir Tom Jones has joked that he is now “bulletproof” after receiving the two vaccines against Covid-19 and has said it is “a great feeling”.
The 80-year-old singer appears on Friday’s episode of The Graham Norton Show and told the host that he is disappointed that he still can’t perform any live shows.
He said, “I’ve had both and now I’m bulletproof! It’s a great feeling. I thought, ‘Now I can go out and do some live gigs,’ but then I thought, ‘That’s why you have to have an audience!’ “If they haven’t had the puncture, what sense does it make?

The NHS currently offers coronavirus vaccines to people most at risk for the virus, including people over the age of 70, people considered “clinically” vulnerable and health workers.
Asked if he still likes to perform, Tom said, “I love it. I sing at home; I sing even when I’m not paid for it! I love to sing; I really do and any chance I have of getting up and I will sing ”.
The Voice UK judge lived in Los Angeles for 41 years and admitted that one of the reasons he stayed so long was on the advice of his accountant.
He said, ‘I really liked it. It was the sun and everything. Since I was doing a lot of performances on the road, for me it was like a vacation spot.

“I would be in the pool most of the time and really didn’t have to do anything. It was so easy and convenient.
“To be honest, the reason I stayed there was on the advice of my accountant when Harold Wilson came to power, and then when I didn’t have to pay that much tax, I really liked it.”
Tom appeared on the BBC chat alongside actors Sam Neill, Billie Piper and James Nesbitt and also performed his new single No Hole in My Heart.
The star began his career in 1963 and had a meteoric rise to stardom thanks to his robust baritone voice after the release of It’s Not Unusual in 1965.
He continued to make hits like What’s New Pussycat and Sex Bomb, and even sang the theme song for the James Bond movie Thunderball.

Tom married his wife Linda at 17 and the couple stayed together for 59 years until he sadly died of cancer in 2016.
In a previous interview with The Mirror, the singer admitted that he has no plans to retire as it reflected his 80th birthday.
Reflecting on her prolific career, Delilah’s success said, “I like birthdays. People say,‘ What’s aging like? ’But I say,‘ What’s the alternative? ’I don’t mind aging. , as the memories are tremendous.
“I don’t want to stop, because God has been good to me and my voice is still there. I want to do it whenever there is breath in the body.”
