He The saga of GameStop Corp. is another sign of growing intolerance among those with opposing views that is sweeping the United States, according to Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio.

“What worries me most is the general anger (and almost hatred) and the vision of dropping people that is now widespread in almost every aspect of the country,” Dalio said in an interview with the Washington Post. “This general desire to hurt each other is worrying,” he said.

While the move by day traders to offer video game retailer shares may seem like a “rebellion,” it shows that they are beginning to understand the mechanics of the markets, just like those who are feeling pressured by short betting said.

Still, traders feel a little familiar to him, Dalio said.

“They remind me a lot of me at that age,” he said. “I started investing at an early age and I was rebellious and I wanted to do it my way and reduce it.”
