The murder of Ruales, presenter of local channel Ecuavisa, was perpetrated on Wednesday to strangers when he was traveling in his vehicle through the sector of Avenida Joan Tanca Marengo.
Actor and television presenter Efraim Ruales was killed Wednesday in Guayaquil, Ecuador, by unknown individuals who shot at the vehicle in which he was driving, Ecuadorian authorities reported.
The crime has caused outrage in this South American country, security forces have offered a reward to anyone who provides information about the case.
“The government ministry is offering a reward to anyone who provides information that can help the National Police find the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the TV presenter’s murder,” a State Portfolio statement detailed.

Government Minister Patricio Pazmiño said on Thursday that the presenter died due to a massive internal hemorrhage, “caused by the impact of a projectile that entered through the left intercostal and injured several organs.”

1. Efraín Ruales died Wednesday from a gunshot wound to the head. The vehicle in which he was driving was attacked by strangers.

2. The vehicle with which it was mobilized has a record of three bullet impacts, two on the left side and one on the right side. “One of these bullets allegedly entered the victim’s body and caused his death,” confirmed the Minister of Government, Patricio Pazmiño.
3. Authorities have offered a $ 50,000 reward to anyone who provides information to help locate the perpetrators of the crime.
4. The results of the autopsy performed by Forensic Medicine indicate that a single bullet impact killed Ruales’s life on Wednesday morning in a northern neighborhood of Guayaquil.
