While many aspects of the pre-NFL draft process can be overstated in their importance, the Senior Bowl is not one of them. It’s one of the few scenarios in which evaluators can see future NFL players facing future NFL players without the advent of a superior or cast scheme. More than 120 prospects faced each other in practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the game Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET on the NFL network.

There is a long history of prominent under the radar, such as Tampa Bay guard Ali Marpet, Washington receiver Terry McLaurin, and Carolina safety Jeremy Chinn, who demonstrated early in his career at the NFL that what they did in Mobile, Alabama, was no coincidence.
