NORTHGLENN, Colorado (CBS4) – On Saturday afternoon, police closed part of Washington Street near 104th Avenue. Northglenn police say the driver of a black SUV was driving recklessly and hit and killed a pedestrian.

Northglenn officers say they saw the SUV collide with a fence north of Muriel Drive and Washington St. Paul police. he only identified the victim as a woman.
Thornton police say the incident began in their jurisdiction, but is being investigated by Northglenn police.

Thornton investigators believe the driver was under the influence, but Northglenn investigators were unable to confirm.
