On January 28th Fenyx Rising ‘Immortalsfirst DLC, A New God, was released. Located after the events of the original end of the main game, A New God it’s a weird expansion and an epilogue that Immortals fans could enjoy, but only if you really need more puzzles.

Also spoiler warning: I will talk about the end of Immortals a little. Just one up.

A New God is defined directly after the file end of Immortals, after the main character, Fenyx, discovers that she is the daughter of Zeus and defeats the great evil Typhoon with the help of the gods. With his cosmic lineage and after everything he achieved in the main game, Zeus had decided to let it go on to become a full member of the pantheon of the gods, alongside people like Athena and Zeus himself. . But this is also a video game, so you first have to perform a lot of tasks. I know. Super shocking.

This is the main configuration of A New God, which is a great way to manage a set of DLC after the main events of your game. However, actually playing A New God it does not seem to me that the story of my Fenyx will continue. This is because you first have to boot a separate game, basically, from the main menu. After doing this, play with it A New God not like your Fenyx, with its powers and weapons, but like a generic Fenyx with all its powers, stats, and equipment almost to the fullest and missing all your armor and weapons. And none of the fun equipment you have in the DLC you can go back to the main one Immortals game. All of this made it very difficult for me to worry about what was going on A New God because he felt so disconnected from my Fenyx and its history.

Anyway it doesn’t matter, because there aren’t many things A New God. Yes Immortals was a super-condensed view of Ubisoft’s open world formula, this first DLC is an even more simplified version of this already condensed approach. All your equipment is almost at its best, there is very little in the way of side quests or activities and the open world consists mainly of some temples and a central area floating in the sky. There is also much less dialogue and narration, but for people who find humor in it Immortals being grateful and upset can be a blessing. Personally, he missed quarrels between Zeus and Prometheus as he explored.

The thickness of A New God it’s puzzle. Lots of puzzles. Some of these are much harder than the main game puzzles, so if you haven’t played Immortals since he left, you may have been run over. Many of these new puzzles use the new double-jump ability that unlocks quickly, as well as a host of new items such as magnets and electrical circuits. While I’ve enjoyed completing many of them, I haven’t finished the DLC yet because I don’t know how many more dungeons I want to do. The main game was already packed with these rooms and, like many other players, I haven’t done them all yet. So dropping a whole lot of new puzzle rooms on your lap isn’t very exciting.

From the DLC announced by Immortals, A New God He always seemed the most boring and jumpy. Not bad and for those of you who couldn’t get enough of the main game puzzles and wanted to see what would happen after the credits came in Immortals, this DLC is what you have been wanting.

However, if you didn’t love it Immortals or if I feel burned at the end, I would suggest you skip A New God and just completed all the puzzles you probably haven’t completed in the original game yet.
