Harris had given the interview to push for the White House coronavirus relief proposal.

Manchin is seen as one of the most important votes in the divided Senate in the first 100 days of President Biden’s term. The West Virginia senator has expressed some reluctance about some of the provisions of the White House’s COVID-19 relief plan, considered Biden’s first legislative push, including the $ 1,400 direct payments to Americans. Previously, he supported a bill in December that provided payments of $ 600 to Americans earning less than $ 75,000 a year.
