Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 to offer the best experience so far

Gran Turismo July PS5 PlayStation May 1

Gran Turismo Sport transformed Sony’s series of simulation races into a very popular e-sport and thus managed to push the brand forward. However, fans of the series lamented the lack of a campaign for a full-featured player, as in previous entries; the car collection mode inspired by the role-playing games of previous titles has been, after all, an important part of the brand’s long-term success.

We already know that Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 will be a combination of the “past, present and future,” meaning it will include a full solo mode. However, in an interview with journalist Toshifumi Watanabe for Octane Japan (translated by GT Planet), series creator Kazunori Yamauchi reiterated that we can expect a more traditional experience this time around.

“While inheriting elements such as the [FIA] championship held at GT Sport, Gran Turismo 7 will return to the real purpose of full volumes as [Gran Turismo] 1-4, and provide the best Gran Turismo experience today, ”he said. The translation is a bit strange, but we are sure that it can be deduced from what is devoted here.

Honestly, it feels like the next natural step for the franchise. Obviously, the e-sports aspect isn’t going anywhere – and the multiplayer mode was so successful on the PS4, we wouldn’t want that, but creating a more traditional single-player experience should benefit the overall package and we consider that this will be a huge hit when it releases on PS5 later this year.
