Authorities on Sunday identified the suspects in the Jan. 28 attack as Lawrence Thomas of Pittsburg, 24, and Tyjone Flournoy, 23, of San Francisco.

Both were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, aggravated kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, false imprisonment and ill-treatment of the elderly, as well as an improvement for allegedly causing extensive bodily harm to Palladino, it reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Police made the arrests in the case after photographs were recovered from Palladino’s camera that the suspects tried to steal.

Palladino, who worked on high-profile cases, including Jonestown’s mass suicides of celebrities and political scandals involving clients such as former President Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein, had grabbed the camera and left the house he shares with his woman to take pictures just before the violence.

“He went out to take pictures of people doing mischief in the neighborhood,” Sandra Sutherland’s wife and detective partner, Palladino, told the newspaper.

While Palladino was shooting outside, the suspects got into a car and one tried to steal his camera, according to his family.

Sutherland said she did not know what her husband’s photos show, but police “found the evidence to be very helpful in arresting these two people.”
