30 year old alert! The cold front brings drastic changes to central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – A cold front will bring significant changes in the climate of central Florida.

After turning 80 in Orlando on Sunday, we’ll only finish on Monday in the 60s, with some rain and thunderstorms in the morning.

The normal maximum in Orlando on this date is 72. The record high is 86, set in 1985.

The cold front is moving towards the afternoon and temperatures will drop drastically.

Tuesday and Wednesday morning lows will be in the 1930s throughout central Florida.

There will be a wind chill warning in effect Tuesday morning as the wind continues to rise and temperatures continue to drop.

Announcements

Expect highs in the 50s on Tuesdays and 60s on Wednesdays.

We will stay dry until Friday, and then the chances of rain will return to 30% on Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures close to 80 by the end of the week.
