Tori Spelling publishes a tribute to Dustin Diamond’s “first love on screen.”

Tori Spelling posted an emotional tribute to her first love on screen, Dustin Diamond, after she died of stage 4 cancer this Monday.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress starred opposite Diamond in “Saved by the Bell” in 1990 as Screech’s girlfriend, Violet Bickerstaff.

“My first love on screen, Dustin Diamond, has received his angel wings today,” Spelling, 47, began a long caption alongside a photo of the couple from the series. “Before there was David and Donna there were Screech and Violet. Dustin was my first kiss on screen. “

“He welcomed me with open arms to the set of‘ Saved By the Bell, ’” he continued. “As you can imagine being the rookie on a hit show was overwhelming for a 14 year old.

“Not only did he show me, but he made sure I was always okay. Such a young gentleman. He was kind, intelligent and always made everyone laugh ”.

He added that Diamond was a great stage partner and a good guy, but the couple did not keep in touch, occasionally meeting at events.
