Rapper Silento was arrested Monday for chasing a deadly shot at his older cousin outside of Atlanta last month, authorities reported.

The 23-year-old singer, “Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae),” whose real name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was charged with murder on Jan. 21 for the death of 34-year-old Frederick Rooks, according to the department. DeKalb County Police. .

Rooks was found with several gunshot wounds in a residential neighborhood of Panthersville, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported, citing police.

Surveillance images obtained by investigators showed several cars fleeing the scene and at least one shot, according to an incident report obtained by the newspaper.

The reason for the deadly shooting is still unclear.

Hawk has had several recent attacks with the law that led to his arrest Monday, including two busts in a week last August in California, according to the report.

In one case, Hawk allegedly broke into a random Los Angeles home with a hat in search of his girlfriend.
