Finally, the biggest secret of Assassins Creed Valhalla has been revealed

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is full of secrets and surprises, but perhaps the biggest one has finally been discovered, and is a testament not only to the developers for making such an elaborate one, but also to the fans and details who finally discovered it. It all starts with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collector’s Edition, which turns out to feature some hidden clues. These would never have been found had it not been for Access the Animus, which in January released a video revealing that they had decoded the Isu language that is part of the game (via IGN).

Now that they had the language, they could decode any message that was used, including some messages that were in the collection editing package. These messages included terms like “hidden inside,” “this lake,” and “now,” and knowing they were into something, the team went on.

They received a helping hand from JorRaptor, who posted a video revealing that you could find a secret Isu Bow in the game called Nodens’ Arc. All you had to do was hit an unbreakable piece of iron ore, get out of the game and reload your reserve to unlock it, but Valhalla’s narrative director Darby McDevitt revealed that this was a method of “brute force” to solve this mystery and Access the Animus finally found the necessary steps to solve it properly.

This coincided with more translated text from the Collector’s Edition box that said “The key is the”, which was under the drawing of a crow. The crow also kept another secret, the Excalibur sword, so the “Key” he was referring to was the “Sword”, more specifically, Excalibur, as it can break anything.

Coming out of the previous video showing the brute force method, fans noticed the location, a lake in Northumbria, which looked a lot like the island of Singapore, and it turns out Ubisoft has an office there. It was a large piece that was missing, as the office was in the exact location of the unbreakable ore. This was further consolidated by the finding that the Isu language was designed by designer Antoine Henry, who works in this office.

The last important piece was the finding that the lithographs of the collector’s edition featured symbols that, when put together, covered an image of the sun. Accessing the Animus he realized was referring to the time of day the ore had to be struck.

Once you’ve put it all together, it meant you had to hit the unbreakable ore with Excalibur at dusk to unlock Nodens ’Ard arc, and this must be one of the most elaborate unlockables in history.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series X, PS5, Stadia and Luna.
